My volunteer work!2

Because of NCE lessons during my holidays, I cannot join Volunteer Club to go to Nanjing Blind School any more, so I found a company to help them type the document.
Why I chose to go to a company to help people type? Because I think this maybe helps me to suit the life work in the company many years later. Volunteer work not only helps people who need me in the society, also need to practice employee skills for many years later.
I went to the company 5 times, each time I help them typed data into the computer for 2 hours. Because this company is a travel agency. So the data all about the travelers information and the different kinds of rules to traveling. I was very interested in it, I love traveling, so from the data I knew which rule was people favorites. Type letters is not a easy thing. I need to face the computer many hours, also need type speed high. Before I went the computer, my type speed not very high. I need to see the keyboard, they to see the screen from time to time. This will make my type speed low. But after I typed a lot of data, my type speed increase a lot, also can type letters without watch the screen.
From this, I found out in winter holiday, people love to go to Sanya to enjoy their holiday, because the weather is good in winter, about 20 degrees Celsius. In summer, many families wanted to go to Taiwan province, because Taiwan agreed Chinese went to there.
Do this job help my TOEFL Writing. Because new TOEFL need use computer, so I can write my essay much quicker.

Went to Nanjing Museum

On February 15th, Karen, Rena and I went to Nanjing Museum.
There were many different kind of small museum in it. For example: Ancient Chinese Jade, Ancient Chinese Ware, Ancient Bronze, Ming and Qing Porcelain. But I love Ancient Treasure Museum best. Its name is very different, yes?
Treasure, in its narrow sense, refers to those natural treasures inherited from nature with high economic value, like gold, silver, precious stones, jade, and jewelry and so on. They are the gems of crusty movement of the earth for millions of year; in its wide sense, it also refers to the valuable historic relics that contain in the advanced cultural, artistic and scientific values in the history of development.
They are the crystallization of human intelligence and ingeniousness, and they are the marks of social development.
Treasures of various kinds, with extraordinary qualities and ingeniousness, occupy a place of its own in the array of treasures. Jade seal imprint material has its rare quality, the gold and silver products have their special shining luster, and Buddhist statues give people a sense of solemn and holy feeling, and there are the various plastic arts of uncanny and superlative workmanship. All these make the ancient Chinese rarity shining through ages and give people unforgettable aesthetic entertainment and enlightenment.

Went to TACOS

On February 15th, I led some of our classmates to due our lunch project in TACOS, which was a Mexico restaurant. I invited Tracy, Abe, Levy, Bethany, Angelina, Karen and Rena to come. Because I think many good friends to do the portfolio was the happy thing!
We started our dinner at 18:00, everyone can get different kinds of food, I gave them many choices that they wanted. I chose the steak, and everyone had Roast whole chicken wings and different dessert. They chose Spaghetti and Bolognaise.
The Beef steak with rice was my staple food. The beef was succulence and the sauce was very delicious. If you use the sauce with rice, a different though your feeling. Very special~ the most delicious food was Roast whole chicken wings. This was the specialty of this restaurant. Every one loves it! We wanted to choose the mango pudding, but that day has sold out. So we choose another dessert. Tracy recommended it, Strawberry milk shake, a clear and bright feeling!
We chatted with each other, the restaurant very special, romantic! So we were all happy that day! If I have a chance again, I will do it!

My volunteer work!

Every weekend, the Volunteer Club organized us to help people in Nanjing Blind School. This was the most moving place.
When I went into Nanjing Blind School first time, it made me shocked. A little girl walked in front of me, she can not see, can find the correct direction of the road. A never moved fulls my body. Let me feel how happy we are! Even if we do not allow them to see the beautiful world, but I must do the best I could let them happy!
I am responsible for the child is a lovely little boy, 7-year-old this year, his eyes can not see that, but he never discouraged. He always likes to hold my hand, let me accompany him to play, this feeling I was much moved.
He never tired of games, may be able to play with him he was very pleased. Sometimes we would read English, story-telling. His specialty is can imitation a lot of transport of voice, laughter and happy since I know he's innocent and lovely.
Only a week of activities in two hours, and in this short of two hours, let me learn a lot of textbooks on the knowledge and failed to learn, each a "sister" to my volunteer work are encouraged by the wish to have more kids never give up, face up to difficulties, such as blind as those happy to do their own!

Go to a church

On December 14th, Karen and I went to a church to enjoy their celebration of Christmas.
When we went into the church, the staff of the church gave everyone a piece of pink paper. Many people in the church, most of them were old people, some young students. I thought maybe they were heathenry. After I found a seat, I sat down to read the pink paper. There were many kinds of Christmas songs and articles on it. One of the songs was “Slight Night”, which we sang on our Planning Class.
At 2:00 p.m, the activity started. The host leaded us to sing the songs. Then some children and believers went to the stage to performance their songs or reading. Everyone in the church listened very carefully, from their expression; I knew the importance of the religions, even if I do not believe in any religion.
The event is I have never been involved in, and I like them together to enjoy the process and religious customs, I hope next time I still have a chance to participate in it.

Go to a performance

On December 19th 2008, GCA had a big performance. The story from Shakespeare’s famous novel《The taming of the shrew》.My classmate――Richard took part in this time, because his emotion very good. Our classmates went there to give him five!
After school, Rena, Karen and I went to have lunch, at 6:30, we went into the lecture room to enjoy the show. Many foreign teachers went to enjoy too. Mr. Shapour with his family, Mr. Pinney with his 2 daughters and wife. And our Summer Camp Science teacher――Mr. Azam came too. Maybe the show was interesting.
The story of 《The taming of the shrew》is a maneating wife with his husband’s adjust, she became a beautiful and elegant wife. The heroine is Cherry, who from 12C. She acted very well I think. She practiced basketball with me, but I never imagine she also can be like this maneating wife!
Our classmate Richard was also excellent, although because of this show, he always went to dry run this show, not our X-mas Dancing. After this show, I forgave him, because he acted very well. From him, I couldn’t see any nervous. His spirits on the stage I should learn.
This show I can’t forget!
